I just fill it each time I need to use it, and that's not often because it really sucks as soldering irons go. I can fill it and it will be empty again in a day or so and it's been like that from the day I bought it. The rest are just too damned expensive and they aren't any better than tools you can buy for half the price or less.Īnd for what it's worth, my PortaSol leaks too. I spent 17 years in the auto, truck, and heavy equipment repair trades and another 7 years rebuilding radial aircraft engines and the only SnapOn tools I'd buy are their specialty tools that nobody else makes.
